Piano Tuning Saskatoon and Area (Census Metropolitan Area) - $180
I provide precision concert level tuning for all types of grands and upright pianos. Whether your piano is used for home practice, teaching, or performance, I tune to A440 and ensure the instrument’s pitch is stable and responsive.
Most standard tuning appointments include piano inspection, pitch correction (if needed), minor repairs, regulation and cleaning. All typically completed within a two-hour time period.
I provide pitch raises(pitch correction) for pianos that have gone significantly flat due to neglect or environmental conditions.
Bookings are available through my online scheduling system (Saskatoon CMA only), or by phone/text: 306‑477‑5577 or email:

Piano Tuning(Outside the Saskatoon CMA)
I travel frequently to communities outside of the Saskatoon area. Here's how travel charges are applied:
Group Appointments: If 4 or more pianos are scheduled in the same area on the same day, there is only a nominal travel fee of $20 per piano.
Single Appointments: If only one piano is booked, a travel charge of $0.50 per kilometre (round-trip) will apply, calculated from the outer boundary of the Saskatoon CMA.
I'm happy to coordinate group visits to reduce travel fee wherever possible. Please contact me if you'd like to schedule a rural appointment or join an upcoming route.

Regulation (Action and Key Adjustment)
Every piano wears differently, so pricing depends on what your instrument needs and what your budget can afford. I can provide a quote once I've had a chance to assess it.
Regulation involves adjusting the mechanical parts of your piano’s action to improve responsiveness, consistency, and touch. Over time, felt compression and wear affect key dip, hammer travel, let-off, checking and repetition. A properly regulated piano plays more evenly and with greater dynamic control.
This service is especially valuable for anyone frustrated with uneven response. Trouble with your playing? It may just be the piano’s fault and not yours. There are many pianist who were thinking of changing pianos, only to have it regulated, and remarked that it plays so well after.
Voicing(Tone Adjustment)
Voicing enhances or restores your piano’s tone. If your piano sounds overly bright, dull, or uneven across the keyboard, voicing can restore warmth, balance, and clarity.
Voicing is available as a standalone service or alongside tuning and regulation.
Repairs & Part Replacement - $90/hour
I offer on-site repairs for issues like sticking keys, broken strings, action parts, pedal problems, and squeaks. For more complex repairs (e.g. hammer or damper replacement), I’ll assess the issue and recommend the best course of action. For standalone issues outside of a tuning appointment, there is a $90 service call fee which would cover one hour service.
Buyer Consultations - $90
Written Appraisals - $180
If you're considering buying or selling a piano, I provide independent evaluations. I also advise clients on whether a piano is worth buying and repairing and what to expect in terms of longevity and maintenance. I also provide a detailed written appraisal for insurance purposes with fair market value and replacement value.
Piano Life Saver Systems (Dampp-Chaser)
Description and Prices
I am a certified installer of Piano Life Saver Systems by Dampp-Chaser, a long trusted solution for maintaining stable humidity inside your piano year-round. These systems help reduce tuning instability, protect action components, and extend the overall life of your instrument.
Humidity fluctuations are a leading cause of major piano problems over time. Sudden or seasonal changes in humidity can lead to large tuning shifts, soundboard and bridge cracks, loose tuning pins, sluggish or sticking keys and excessive wear on the action felt. Installing a humidity control system is one of the best long-term investments you can make in the health of your piano.
I install full systems in uprights and grands and also supply replacement pads and solution.

Basic Cleaning (Included with Tuning)
A general cleaning is included as part of most standard tuning appointments. This may include light dusting and removal of surface debris from the action area, key bed, and pedals. Soundboard dusting is included for grand pianos.
Major Interior Cleaning (Assessed Case by Case)
For pianos that require a deeper cleaning due to years of dust buildup, environmental exposure, or evidence of infestation, I offer comprehensive interior cleaning services. These are assessed during the appointment and priced based on the condition of the piano and scope of work needed.
Major cleanings may include:
- Removal of excessive dust, lint, and debris from the action area, under the keys, and soundboard area
- Cleaning around and between tuning pins, hitch pins, and under strings
- Careful vacuuming and hand detailing of interior and exterior components
- Removal and sanitization after mouse infestations, including nests, droppings, and urine damage
- Disinfection and odour control, as needed
Mice infestations are unfortunately common in pianos in Saskatchewan. Especially those stored in basements, cabins, or unheated buildings. Signs of infestation may include droppings around the keys and bottom board, odour, chewed felts, loose nesting materials, or degraded hammer and damper parts. In such cases, I recommend a full cleaning assessment to prevent further deterioration and restore sanitary conditions.
